3rd Treatment

December 12, 2007 My patient arrived and was still feeling good about her skin. The redness has subsided about 20% from the first visit and the hyperpigmentation is breaking up, but it is still there. She says she has not had any new breakout and that she is feeling better. Her energy is good. The itching and reness behind the ears has subsided but she did experience a high pitch tinnitus for about 5 minutes and then it disappeared. She also had a headache only on the top of her head. She did take aspirin to help it to subside.

She did have lots of energy and felt great after her first acupuncture treatment. Stress has improved significantly. She put on a scale of 3 from 10 last week. The other symptom that is bothering her is shortness of breath after exertion and worse at night. This has been happening since the has had the skin problem.
Mood stable
Energy- fatigue
Digestion good and is taking a probiotic daily

Tongue- scalloped red with yellow coating.
Pulse- thready and wiry

Assessment- Heat in the liver and gallbladder channel causing a liver and kidney yin deficiency. She also has a lung yin deficiency.
Plan- clear heat, nourish yin and nourish the lungs.
Points- lung 1,2, 7 Spleen 6, 9,10, Gallbladder 2,3, 14, 15, 34, 41, Liver 3, Large intestine 4, 11, San Jiao 5, 17, 21, 23, Small intestine, 18, 19, Yintang, Stomach 7, 8, 36, Kidney 3, 6 Shen men, lung, kidney, and I bled the apex.
Chinese herbal formula was changed to Han Lian Cao 20 gr with Nu Zhen Zi 20gr. She is also doing another week of the detox soup (info on detox soup visit www.healingherbalsoups.com)
